Default Help!!! Please!

First off, let me say I appreciate all the knowledge, and supprot here!
now for my problem. My 96 XJ wouldn't start, so I unplugged, and replugged the CKS.....then it started. Replaced the sensor today, but I forgot to take the pos. cable off the battery. Now it won't even crank! I get headlights, but the stereo won't come on, and I don't get any gauges unless I turn the key to the start position....I don't think I hear the fuel pump til then either.
Any ideas? would plugging in the cks hot fry it?

I'm desperate....Thanks.

Even if it did fry it you would still have power to crank it over, but I don't think you fried it. Check all your fuses and connections. It is possible maybe your ignition switch.

Thanks, I couldn't find any blown fuses tonite, and swapped a couple of relays around with no luck. Gonna try a new ignition switch.

Thanks again.

Did you try unplugging your batter, and plugging it back in? I did my crank sensor without unplugging the battery and it's fine.

I had this problem a couple of days ago. My headlights would turn on, but my stereo, gages, and floor lights wouldn't. I went through all this trouble to find out it was just a little blown fuse in my fuse box under my hood. I hope that's all it is.

Check the 20 amp fuse under the hood in the PDC.. the black box on pass side.

Yep, I took the + off the battery to try and reset the computer. Still nothing.
