My brand new hood release cable from rockauto has either stretched or snapped under the hood. The handle is still attached but there is no resistance pulling it and I can't get my hood open. Does anyone know how to get the hood open??? I think this is the last part I will ever buy from them.

 

That blows! Only way to get it is to start pulling the front off you Jeep, grille, headlights, whatever you can get off. I've had luck getting to it after pulling the headlights out and using a flashlight and a mirror. Good luck!!

 

You can get to it thru the drivers side headlight bucket.

Either that or cut a big hole in the center of the hood.
