Default Help overheat!

I don't think this is a problem I just need some clarification...when I replaced my pressure hose on my ps pump I pulled the lower radiator hose so I could get to it..of course anti freeze went everywhere...got everything back together filled my resivour (which is prolly 1/3 of what spilled from the radiator and went for a test drive...within 5 mins I got temps up to about 220...parked and refilled my resivor and still overheating...what's going on?

if its low on water and not being burned up or dumped on the ground....sometimes they can be a real pain to fill with water and not get air in the system

Switch to the open loop system. Its not hard, it makes things easier, and can be done for less than $50.

either find a radiator and overflow bottle from a newer XJ or get Moroso's splice in radiator cap and use your old overflow bottle.

Several write ups exist. I may post pics in my build if I ever get around to it.
