I was parking my jeep, so when i came to a stop i put it in park. Then to my surprise my jeep started backing up as if it was in reverse. About the 3rd or 4th time it finally clicked into park and didnt reverse!! Any help or suggestions! Thanks

Sounds like the linkage needs to be adjusted.

Ok that sounds like a good place to start! A few times tho, i needed to be in nuteral to start my jeep. Only a few times i had to do that tho! Any thoughts?

A faulty NSS usually presents with the issue of not starting in Park, but in Neutral or after wiggling the lever, no reverse lights. However, it could also be your symptoms.
Try cleaning the NSS first and see if that solves the issue. Write-ups available.
I don't think this is a mechanical/transmission issue.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Today is tuesday, i probably will not get to it till this weekend. Will there be any harm if i waite till this weekend or should i take careb of it asap to prevent any possible long term issues. This weekend ill make it a priority. But can it wait?

Your NSS can wait a little, no worries. If anything, it might leave you unable to start your ride if it decides to go completely pear shaped (in that case you can bypass it to gain time). But nothing is going to explode or anything.
