Default Help none of my gauges work or speedometer or odometer

i just purchased a 94 xj that is pretty built up the only negaitve is that non of the gauges or speedomter work gas votlage temp. i put a new fuse in and it blows everytime i dont know what it could be. the blinker lights work and the highbeam light works none of the other light come on as well and i need to smog it soon (check engine low oil those lights) the cluster is lit up as well when the lights are on i dont know what could be blowing the fuse

I don't know what else is on this circuit without looking but you might want to pull the gauges and unplug the connection and see if it still blows the fuse. It might be a gauges problem. Does it blow right when the fuse it put in? When you turn the key to on? I know the gauges aren't powered with the vehicle off so I would assume you have to turn the key to on before it will blow. Does it have to be running to blow it?

It blows when the key is turned to the on position

I fixed this problem I pulled the fuse box off from under the dash cut the fuse number 17 wires put a new fuse in them and now the work fine
