Default Help!!! No spark.

I have a 95 Jeep Cherokee. And getting no spark. The engine turns strong, it just doesnt turn over.

I have replaced.

Ignition Coil
Pickup Coil
Distributor cap
Rotor

And still get no spark to any of the plugs.

This model has no ignition control module.

Anyone have any ideas?

This model does not have a Crankshaft Position Sensor.

Its a 4.0L Inline 6

Its a pretty basic ignition system.

Only other thing i can think of is the ECU.

I have replaced everything that could be replaced cheaply.

stoutjeep95, Your 95 4.0 HO motor is the exact same motor my 91 XJ Sport 4.0 HO has. If that is the original 95 4.0 HO motor in your XJ then, it damn sure has a CPS (Crank Position Sensor) in it....and it sounds like yours is bad.

Yea, I stand corrected. I bought a new sensor and I am still in the process of putting it on. Its in a god awful place. Tried with a crows foot to get to it, went to buy a long extension and a universal joint to see if that works which it should. I also ordered a shop manual from chrysler, damn haynes manual lacks alot of information.

But thanks for the heads up. I had Cam shaft position sensor mixed up with crankshaft. Autozone calls it a Pickup coil, haynes calls it a camshaft position sensor.

Am replacing it tomorrow, will make a post to see if that did it, good thing is that i got a complete tune up out of the whole thing.

And it dont have an ignition control module which is strange to me. Most vehicles with fuel injection do. But this one has just the coil, 12 volt connector going into it and straight out to the distributor and thats it. Nice and simple.
