Help for a newbie!
I am new to the forum, but have been lurking for quite a while. I just found out the rear of my stock 98 Classic is trashed. I assume it would be cheaper to just replace the rear than to attempt to rebuild? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

what part of your rear end is trashed? its more likely one part then the entire rear end. what makes you think this?

depends on whats broke, what axle it is and what you do with your jeep. if its a dana 35 and you go off road alot and run 33s or bigger then trash it. if you stay on the pavement then just fix what ever is broke unless everything is broke.
It's an 8.25 limited slip rear. I initially thought it was just the diff, but my buddy put it on the lift today and it's in pretty bad shape. I don't do much offroading, but I was planning on a 3" lift with 31s soon. It's mainly a second vehicle/camping gear hauler.
