Default Help me identify this plug.

While changing the oil, I noticed this plug hanging down the driver's side of my transmission. I couldn't see anywhere to plug it in and I have no idea what it came from. Anyone know what it is?

See if the mode selection switch on the TC has a connector to it.

Here's a pic of a late model NV242J showing the mode switch, next to the vent hose fitting. Earlier versions and 231 TC's are basically the same.

I'll check that out after work today. Seems weird that the plug would be hanging so far forward if it came off of the TC.

Unless my eyes are pulling tricks on me, that last pic looks like the TC shift linkage - that's why I suggested what I did.

Mine doesn't have that as a blank plug.
