it's a 93 hack and tap wont work on that without being just as expensive as a full sye - porc is around 169bux rugged ridge is within ten bux of that both full hd sye's
i've heard Porc's leak but that maybe the super shorts
people have also said porc is a repackaged teraflex
and also a repackaged AA -maybe it depends on if its super short or regular short......
edit: i realize that kit will work with the seal kit but i want the hd full sye and my budget is under $200 withOUT the driveshaft- it's a daily driver and i have no problems running in front drive only for a week or two till i grab a rear shaft..

right, it's the shaft i will end up buying, unless my lift and the 5 speed dictate that i get a v8 ZJ shaft, but i dont want the hack and tap so i'm looking for which standard lenght (non super short) Heavy Duty full SYE kit people recommend. there are a few for 200ish and under.
anybody got experiences- i'm thinking i'll be ordering the porc unless i hear a good reason not to.

PM EndlessMtnFab, he's a vendor here.
I got my Advanced Adapter SYE from him at a decent price. And you can utilize the frt DS mod.
Putting mine together this weekend. But I luckily have a spare TC and can do mine on the workbench.

ok if it's a np231 transfer case make sure that you have a cutoff wheel because you have to the output shaft for vacume valve for the new sye housing cover. also it say it recomends cutting 15/16 off the shaft i cut mine at that measurement and cut to much so front axle doesnt engage so now i have to do a manual posi lock cable. jfy. also it's best and easier to pull the transfer case out and bench build it.
it looks real easy but without instructions it's a real pain. but once you've done it it turns out to be easy.
also had to search search and search. rc didn't provide instructions.

well my 93 is a no disconnect front axle, so that's one less thing- i've got full compliment of air tools (needed to use all my tricks just to get the old leaf springs/shackles out.
My "4.5" lift is now installed on the rear of the jeep.
At 7 1/2 inches.
meh, i figured the 4.5 packs would ride better, and required less wedge angle with longer shackles...... Doubt that a front DS will fit now, shoulda ordered the supershort sye lol. And 2 inches of shackle on a lightweight, stock bumpered, no trail equipment XJ, will turn 4.5 inch springs into 5.5 inch springs (+2"shackles).
looks like i'll be modifying the home made rear bpe's....
Wonder what i'll get from the 4.5 coils, 1 3/4 inch polys, and steel isolators, as i still have a bone stock jeep from the leaves up.... or should i just add the polys and spacers to the 4inch coils that are on the rig now....
After the sye is in- i'll be a front driver till ds money comes through....lol.
