Question help with a lift

Hey everybody. I recently purchased a rustys 3 inch lift for my 96 xj. I hav been insatlling it over the last few days, and i have a question.
After installing the new coils infrt and new leaf packs in the rear I now have developed a real bad vibration and binding out of the rear diff. I asked several different compaines including rustys if I needed to do anything else. Like a t/c drop or dropped pitman and was told no.
Does anyone know what i can do now to eliminate the binding short of having to buy a t/c drop kit. Any help would be great. thanks

Steel shims for rear leafs at 4 deg. RE sells them. You should actually do an SYE to your transfer case though. Shims and TC drops are bandade fixes.

A TC drop kit will help your vibes. The 96+ XJs have a shorter output then 95 and older. Therefore they are more suceptible to vibes from a shorter amount of lift. I guarantee you that a 1 inch TC drop will cure your vibes or at least greatly reduce them. If the TC drop doesn't fully eliminate your vibes then add a 3-4 degree shim to your rear axle and that will do it. I'm running a 1.25" TC drop and 6 degree shim in my 91 XJ with 6 inch lift and I have had no vibes for 2 years with this set up. Because I'm to cheap to buy a SYE kit. I know this will last me until I can build a SYE.

Before you go shimming anything you need to measure your pinion angle. If your pinion angle is way off you can add shims, if it's not off by at least 2* shims will not help. If the pinion angle is accurate ie less then 2* off then you have 2 choices, SYE the best way or a t-case drop which isn't the ideal solution but it works.

OKC is correct. I would look into shims before a T-case drop just cause its a more effective solution i mean you lifted it for a reason. Good luck and keep us updated.
