Default Help indentify trans part

I was under my 89 Sport 4x4 4.0, drivers side. Noticed two lines coming out of the front of the tranny. One runs up into the engine bay and one has a fitting on it going nowhere. I noticed that the one with the fitting moves in and out. Just wondering if I a missing something, or what the heck it is. Here are pics, thanks.

Its the slave cylinder for your clutch. You bleed the clutch w/ the short one.

@What he said.

So you drive a munual 89. The older jeeps have an internal slave cyliner. The slave cylinder is what makes your clutch pedal engage and release the transmission. I appreciate the pic, as i have never seen any of these interior type slave cylinders. But yeah, real simple process.

Next time, just for a heads up, when you are asking a tranny question, put in stick or auto, although this time it was obvious, thanks to your pics. Also, if you follow that other line up, is should go to your master cylinder. Correct me if i am wrong, as these are older models with stick.
