Can anyone please tell me how to program my keyless remote for my 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport?

You need a DRB from the dealer to program it
I think 97 and up have to be done this way
Not sure on a price I didn't have to pay for mine

Read the owners manual, it should have the needed info.

Exactly, the owners manual will tell you if it has to be done at the dealer or if it can be done by the owner. My 95 ZJ can be done without a DRBII, the proceedure is written in black and white in the owners manual.

That would be extremely helpful, if he had a 1995 ZJ.

But, since he has a 01 XJ, he will need to go to the dealer. No need to tell him to search in the owners manual when the information is already here.
