HELP!!!!HELP!!!! I need my jeep running
Ok. So I have a 98 jeep Cherokee 4.0
it is having motor problems along with alot of other things.
But my big question Is. I know were a 96 4.0 motor is and I was going to swap it into thr 98. Will this work and what other things must I swap over with it. Will the 98 computer and harness work with the 96 motor or do I need to swap over more parts. Please help me it's my daily driver and it's killing me right now

everything should be the same, as long as it has the same transmission. You MAY have to swap over the computer as well.
Jeep didn't change anything major 96-98

I'm basicly wanting to know if I need to change any sensors or the computers are dif. Everything else are interchangable. The intakes out of the newer Cherokees can be put on the olderones and they will help with gas milage. I just need to know about the sensors and the computer Thanks to all who have posted so far
