I have a ground loose somewhere and my radios picking it up, i was wondering if anyone knew where the ground straps were located on a 96 any help is appreciated

 

The 2 I know of is the strap that is on thedrivers side engine bay. It goes from the firewall to the block on a 7/16 stud. The other in at the batt connected to the right fender.

 

Thank you for that ill chck those two out and see if i cant find anymore while im down there

 

i think your thinking of a different year becuz my batterys on the left and ground to the block

 

As far as I know the year model of your XJ from 91 on has 2 grounding straps. Once from the firewall to blocks on drivers side and one from the battery to fenderwell passengers side. If you have more then 2 it was added after it left the dealership on it's original purchase.

 

When he says right he's likely saying it from the perspective of sittng in the drivers seat..

 

ahh yea i didnt think of that but it goes from the battery to the block not the fenderwell and i didnt find the other one yet i havent had alot of time to do it
