help with gears
From your vehicle specs, I assume you have a 3.55 now.
It will accelerate as if you gained 15% more horsepower, but you will be turning more rpms at highway speed and your mileage will suffer.
Going to 4.10's alone will not destroy either diff...I wouln't worry about that.
I always felt that the 4.0L with 3.55's was a decent gear with stock tires. It was peppy enough and rpms were in the powerband on the highway. It was when I went with bigger tires that gearing lower really helped. I have 31's now and 4.10's are a nice gear for the tire size.

3.07's with 31's suck. I did it for a year. I went with 3.73's and its about perfect for the size of tire/type of driving I do. Wanna talk about bad a friend is running 33's with 3.07's I drove his jeep home the other day and it took forever just to get moving and up to speed.

Even still, 4.10's on stock tires would still not kill a Turdy5. Besides, he said his Jeep is stock. It would be different if he said he wants 4.56 gears and is going to install 33's and a locker.
4.10's are a nice compromise on ratio. You can put a set of 30/31's on it and have decent power, and ok fuel economy as long as you drive sanely.
As for the D35. I can attest to the strength of them. I ran one when I first got into wheeling with 33's
Here is a pic of me ON slick Rock In Tellico giving it hell.

Didnt break anything

The simple fact is that if you do that, you will have the stock gears for the four cylinder engine. No you won't hurt it, no it won't be weaker. You will turn a little over 3,000 rpms at 65 mph and will have lots more acceleration and torque. It is the perfect ratio if you want to go to 31s
