Its not that hard to replace u-joints, just means down-time for your rig.
Hell I use the "vice-&-sockets" method.
Just be careful not to damage the yoke.

I did the same thing but no vice, used hammer sockets and split log lol. Honestly it's a simple job. Just recommend having some extra grease around to help hold the needles in place so they don't fall out.

Yeah I've done the BFH method too.
It sketches me out that I'm going to damage the yoke ears though.
