What does this have to do with removing the pan and filter? I've never done any work on an auto before so this is all new to me.

Also I couldnt for the life of me get to the block drain plug. How is this done?

Glad to hear Im not the only one that had to flush out brown coolant...and oooo the smell was terrible too!

Coolant wasnt as bad as I thought actually. The worse part was what I flushed outa the overflow tank. It was like a brown oily sludge!! GROSS STUFF!

So is the trans hose you are having a problem with, the high pressure side or the low pressure side? If its the low pressure side, I'll save you a few bucks AND help your trans at the same time. Buy a WIX Inline Transmission filter. It comes with a short radiator connector so you can just borrow a tubing cutter then measure and cut existing trans hose, install the connector, hook the filter inline with the connector and the existing hose with the supplied rubber adapter hoses and not only have you solved one problem, but actually improved the filtering of the trans as well.

Now if its the high pressure side of the radiator, then forget everything I just said.

By the way, if you want to go this route, make sure this is the correct one you need! I just picked a link but this may not be the correct one. The filter is the same, but they have different kits for different trans line sizes.

Question HELP! which radiator hose do I cut?

Which hose do I cut to attach the flush kit?? theres 2 coming from the front of the motor, that run back to the firewall.....

i'm about to do a coolant flush, mine isn't brown or sludgy, but it is milky and dark green. the coolant resevoir is getting a thin film on it and it's just time to do it again.

I'll take some pictures, as it may help someone else in the future.
