0.035 gap. The boots can be difficult. Don't pull by the wire. Wear gloves unless you want busted knuckles. Rotate side to side and pull with steady preasure.

Never tried those but I have tried platinums and such and they only made me throw mis-fire codes after a while. See what happens?

yep.. heard em all.. but i'm going on past experience here. .ik they work.. just think your throwing a bigger ball of fire at it..its ganna burn better.. and i would as advise/recommend a cold air intake and a free flowing exhaust to get the most out of your xj..

The argument about spark plugs has always seemed to me just like the argument about speaker wire.

The theory is that if you use a fatter speaker wire, more wattage makes it through to the speaker and also "better" sound. I have tried "A and B" comparisons for thirty years and not once has anyone ever known which wire was connected to which speaker. Human ears are not sensitive enough. A dog...maybe...but not people.

Just my opinion but I use a $2 plug and gap it correctly and cannot tell the difference between it and the finest plug on the market for my old 450 hp Chevelle or any other vehicle I have ever owned. However, I CAN tell the difference in the weight of my wallet.

I have never owned any vehicle that did not run fine using the factory recommended plugs, as long as the ignition and fuel systems are functioning properly and the plugs are gapped to specification, you should have no problems!

There are a lot of reasons to upgrade to a better spark plug FYI my n2o 92 5.0 stang I run a 1 degree hotter than factory autolite and i see about a 20-25 hp difference over stock and in my 07 vortech stang i run a 1 degree colder and gap shorter due to spark blow out...but take into consideration that your jeep is a low performance inline 6 that is complete stock. You might see a .5-1 mpg difference but like others have said not anything you will really notice.
