help can't fig out y 4wheel drive won't work
hey guys and girls. I canr fig out y my 4wheel drive won't engage. I havwe a 1986 cherokee. I've checked the t case (which is a np 231) that engages. checked the vacum. its gettin to th shift motor which leads my to think its this is there any way to check this w/out a vacum gauge? let me know thanx

ihave the kind of the same promblem mine doesent go into low 4 wheel drive i rember on friends xj he had ur promblem he just put sum automatic trany fluid and it started to go into 4 wheel drive maybe that will work for u

i'm going to try n see if the fluid is low in the trans but its a man. but idk anyone else? thanks for the tip

hey got it to work i took the vac motor off started it put it in low the motor moved. so then i went to the locking collar it was stuck on the axel shaft. i freeed it up i also added more gear fluid. havent had a problem now. thank gosh lol thanks for the help pep.
