Did you find the torx bolts on top of bell housing? Are you lifting the weight of transmission while removing to prevent spline from binding?
Transmission dipstick is bolted to engine block. Cable to throttle valve need to be disconnected. And electrical connection near dipstick

Everything has been done except the dipstick, I thought it looked to be on the bell housing so I left it be

Not sure what else it could be other than in binding on output shaft from engine.

So I still had 2 bolts on both sides holding the bell housing in on the dust shield, I thought the shield was on the transmission so I didn't bother removing them but upon removal it is now free!

same thing happened to me my first time pulling the aw4. i left one bolt on the dustshield and just hooked up a ratchet strap to my rear diff and started cranking. i realized i forgot a bolt the minute it let go. lol. i thought it was just stuck on the dowels.
