how do u no if the ac compressor is good or not

well right now i dnt hav ac. im missing a hose tht im about to get and i need to figure out if the compressor is good or not

were the fittings tapped off were the hoses connected when removed 134a or r12 system

take a rachet and socket and put on the nut in the center of the clutch and see if it turns at all

yea i can turn the clutch with my hand some so i no its not lock up. i jus dnt want to go out to get the hose and freon if the compressor doesnt work

if it turns the only way to no if its still good is to put on the hose and fill it it turning is a plus
