Default HELP!! 94 cherokee 4.0l

i have a strange issue, my cherokee hates to start, has a misfire at idle and it has low fuel pressure. it sits between 28-24 at idle and it drops to as low as 16 when i give it gas. i’ve replaced every sensor, the entire ignition system, and the entire fuel systems. 2 pumps, all lines and hoses, injectors, filter, fuses, i’ve checked voltage to the pump, and yet i still have this issue. any ideas??

Check voltage (although preferably amperage) to the pump at idle and acceleration. Sounds like a bad wire to the pump.

Default Misfire issue also

I have a similar issue, I’ve went ahead and changed the sparks the distributor cap and wires, and fuel injectors. Now it’s gave me a code missfire cylinder 2. I compression tested the cylinders and they are all around 60psi! Any pros on here know if this means a new engine?

If all cylinders are really 60,psi I'm amazed it runs at all.

When you measured the compression:
1) was the engine warmed up?
2) did you have the throttle wide open?

engine was warm so I rechecked them all

cylinder 2&3 are 60psi

cylinder 1,4,5,6 are 100-105psi

i think I’m going to replace the engine, does anyone know anywhere that does refurbished engines or a member who can rebuild one on here?

thank you

Two adjacent cylinders showing low compression is often a blown head gasket.
