how do you actually do it because the directions are really clear they say poor on area but you cant exactly do that. do you just poor it on the rag and wipe over it? or do you wipe it on with your finger?

Kinda hard to pour onto a verticle surface, so you have to roll the Jeep over on its side. Ha Ha
Just put the GG on a rag wipe onto a small area until good and wet and lets sit a couple mins, then rub off with same rag. Going to need several rags and maybe a couple bottles of it. But it will come off.

sweet deal thanks the picutre helped me out alot because my leafs do suck and was debating wether it would look stupid if i lifted it without bigger tires but your xj pulls it off good so i think i am going to do it
funny thing is mine is a 1990 xj white exactly like yours it even has that same side trim missing as well so now i know exactly what it would look like if i put a lift on it without the bigger tires

you can also get the Goo Be Gone at most of the Dollar Stores. So save some money when you go buy it and go to Walmart and price match the bottle because you will need a few of them. you could also get some plastic razer blades and they will help you take the molding tape off as well with out nicking the paint. You may need to buff the paint a little with some rubbing compound after words just to get rid of the surface scratches that will apeare.

I bought this at waly world for like 4 or 5 bucks. I sprayed it on the adhesive and waited a few then took a rag and started rubbing. Then sprayed a little more then repeated. I not completly done but i also took of all the badges also. But mines a 99 so it had little side molding. But i still have a little over have the bottle left. Mine was also 16oz bottle. Just how i did it. Good luck post pics when it is done.

Goo Gone FTW
If you have little bits you can get off take some mineral spirits on a rag and wipe gently over it. try not to get your paint to much. A little mineral spirits wont hurt your paint job but it will help in removing unwanted gooeyness. Also for stuff like dealer emblems and such, take a blow dryer to it first, don't just hold it over it you have to move it around and gradually heat it up but most dealers use emblems that can be easily removed that way.
Congrats on a great buy
