Hi,

My Jeep sometimes does not start when the transs. lever is on "P", when I move it to "N" it starts ... The elect. said it's a "switch" in the gearbox. I am not sure about that part is it the GROMMET, Timing Probe or the SENSOR, Vehicle Speed?? pliz help and what must I do now?

Sounds like a starter...when they get old the gears wont spin in place properly...so when you put it in neutral and roll back or forward a slight bit it helps the gears get closer to locking before you spin the starter with the ignition.

NSS on the side of the trans. You can do 1 of 2 things.. take yours off and clean/lube it or get one from ebay. Ive been using mine for a bit now and its all good. Locally they will run you about 150-200. ebay has them for like 45 bucks

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-N...Q5fAccessories

cant beat that shipped. Almost worth getting two and having one just in case.

Here are some links for you
