help 2000 cherokee battery is flat cant open door is there any way of manually opening the bonet or some way of opening the doors.

Most newer cars do not switch the positive lead to the headlights to turn them on and off. But rather the ground. I do not know for sure if the Cherokee is wired like this but some one here should.
If it is you can remove the headlight and connect a line to the positive side of the headlight wiring and then hook up a ground to the body. This will give you the power you need to unlock the doors with a remote after a few min. DO NOT try to jump start the car this way. This is only to get in to it.

But why would not simply unlock the door with the key?

 

ive tried opening with the key it doesnt work its like its dead locked or something. How do i go about removing the head light?
