Unhappy Help with 1996 Cherokee?

Hello everyone! I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 liter V6 engine that has a problem going on that I can't seem to figure out. The Jeep cranks and idles without cutting off (can run a little rough while idling), but when put into drive it wants to cut off, and if it stays on long enough to be driven it won't accelerate past about 15mph.
So far I have replaced the catalytic converter and also both of the o2 sensors, to no avail. I'm wondering if maybe there is some sort of issue within the fuel system, and the engine is not receiving fuel like it should be?
Any help of suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hmm, I bought a fuel pressure gauge from Auto Zone and checked the fuel pressure, it's registering around 40psi which is good, right? Also, I may have failed to mention in original post that if I put the pedal to the floor and rev the engine up, RPMs don't want to go any higher than about 1500, engine becomes shaky and clouds of white smoke bellow out from the back.

I will definitely give that a try. I am also going to try and clean the fuel injectors, see if something is up in that area.

I'd only do one thing at a time and try it. T/b and IAC first.

Should be 49 PSI

Sounds like your pressure is low - IDK if it's the whole reason though.

edit: 96 may have a different spec, it would be worth getting hold of a Field Service Manual for a 96 and checking it out.

Yeah, you're right, one thing at a time And going back to the check engine light, there isn't one on at all. That's because I cleared it out, though - when the issue first started happening, it was on. I checked it and the codes were pointing to 02 sensor & o2 sensor heater, which is what caused me to replace the up & down stream 02 sensors as well as the cat (mainly because it was really old & rusted/clogged anyway). But none of that has really made a difference so far.

Pull your oil dipstick and look in the radiator for white goo.

Sounds like a blown head gasket.
