Ok. I need some help here. I have a 92 Cherokee 4.0. It will turn over and run for 2 seconds or so and then shut down. I have put a new IAC valve in and still doing it. Checked all vacuum lines and they are all connected. Any advice as to where I should go from here?

 

Have you checked the fuel pump ballast resistor? White ceramic unit on driver's side mounted on inside fender. Attach the two leads together or jump with a length of wire. Resistor is to quiet pump but is unneeded and eliminated on later models.

 

Is that in the engine compartment?
