Default Hello and TC change

Hi, my name is Ethan I have a 2000 xj rhd.

It failed obd b/c of PO740 torque converter clutch circuit.

I talked to a tranny tech and he said usually it means TC replacement.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Cool

Before going crazy......You need to verify that the TCC (torque converter solinoid) is working. You also need to verify that the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) is correct and not skewed. P0740 code means that the ECM / TCM does not see a drop in engine RPM while in TCC lock. Even old dirty Trans fluid could cause this.

I am getting the same P0740 code on my 1999 Cherokee sport.
