hella lights....
im sure this has been asked before, and i did a search but didnt come up with an answer...
i installed lights on my bumper today, spent all afternoon running the wires so it would like really nice under the hood.. lol.. well i got everything hookd up...
i turned my lights on, hit my high beams... and for crying out loud the lights dont work! =( they are brand new.. i have power to my switch because when i hit it, the green light turns on...
could it possible be a bad ground somewhere?
i have the front two lights grounded together behind the bumper.. and the ground for the switch up in the driver floorboard. oh and the relay is grounded to thebody.

i dont have factory fog lights... i think i did come across a unused molex plug on the passenger side.. i believe it had 2 wires.. and i think it was in wire loom.. could that be it? and if it is, since everything is already installed and everything how can i tap in?
can u still get a ground on painted surface?

the hella's i had came with inline fuses on all of the wires...check them...
i had a similar problem...the inline fuse had a 2 amp fuse that blew when i accidently tapped metal when installing my switch (forgot to electrical tape it )
also check if the relay is clicking if you used that...if its clicking when u turn the swith on than i dont think it would be a bad ground...

If your getting power to the switch but no power to the lights then its a ground or bad fuse. Or it could be the lights which is most likely not the case. If you have a good ground then jump the lights to direct power with no switch to see if they work.
If there wired into the existing lights then like said above, they will only work on high or low beams. If you have them set on a switch then it obviously wouldn't matter, unless that sends the power to the lights if its in a loop. Don't you just love electrical!
