Default Heater, Wiper, and Stereo Problem

I've looked all over for a fix for this problem but have come up with nothing. I was hoping someone here might now my problem:

I have a 1994 automatic Jeep Cherokee. I'm not an automotive person, but my father is and has looked through the service manual repeatedly and has not been able to find out what's wrong.

More often in the cold, the heater, stereo, wipers, and turn single will not turn on unless the car is turned on in auxiliary first. Often times I have to keep it in auxiliary for a few second and then ignite it. It can take a couple tries and can be very time consuming. Has anyone heard of this problem or know of any type of fix?

Sounds like your ignition switch itself is going bad. Those accesories you rattled off are all accesories that will only work with the ignition switch turned on or in accesory. If you're having to go to accesory first then on, I'd say your sitch is worn out. Repace it.
