Default Heater problem

I have a 97 Cherokee sport, for some reason at higher rpm and speed my heater fan starts messing up. I only get heat coming out of the vents at low rpms. Does anyone know why this would be happening?

How do you mean, "messing up"/ as in, it only blows heat at lower RPM, and if you give it gas less heat comes out/it stops blowing?

You can hear the fan is still going but at higher rpms it’s like it diverts and get stuck in between positions

Check all vacuum connections to ensure you have no leaks.

does it blow out any air at idle? does it change where it comes from if you turn the selector ****?

I know on my 98, it still has the manual cable blend door, which i was very thankful to find. I'm not sure if the selector for where the air comes from is vaccum operated or not, but if its a cable, it might have Just come out of the lever like mine did.

Open the hood. Idle the engine. Spray short bursts of starter fluid at the hard black plastic hoses that run around the firewall. Listen for the engine to rev up. Found your leak. Pay attention to the joints. And the ball in the front bumper passenger side.

Yeah it works fine at idle, and I can still select where I want the air to go. Thanks for the help I’ll try to spray it and see what I find.
