Heater, and defroster, loud grinding

Heater, and defroster, loud grinding
Ok so i left my defrosters on, and went into work, for a quick drink, and I come out and the whole heater thing, its just grinding making a loud noise, like a reallly loud noise, and it won't work at all, I don't know why this is?
