heater core hookup

Default heater core hookup

took out heater control valve, does it make a difference which heater hose goes to which tube on heater core. is one tube the in and one the out. does. the top hose coming from thermostat go to the top tube on core, confusing when tou take out valve.

3/4" inlet, 5/8" outlet

a heatercore can flow both ways.but id flush core out so if hooked differantly u dont wana backflush all that stuff into ur whole system. but do know that the inlet is larger tube.

which hose hooks to core tubes, top hose from thermostat to 3/4 top tube on core.

T-stat is 3/4", water pump is 5/8".

i need to replace my heater core as well. Has anyone done a writeup on it? i have looked around but havent found anything.
