heater core
How bad of a job is it to replace the heater core in a 95 XJ? Im just coming off a 22 year AMC Eagle ownership and they are a pain. Does anybody offer digital shop manuals to buy?

I was quoted $1200 to change out my heater core. Luckily mine was only clogged and not leaking so I just unclogged it myself and it didn't cost me a dime

Shop manuals other than Haynes are out there, a bit pricy @ 100. or so. As far as the dash is concerned, From what I've been reading is not hard but has a lot of steps. I've read of guys doing it in a weekend or about 10 hrs. I'm probably going to hire it done cause there is no way to test it until it's all done and if there is something wrong it all has to come back apart. But that's just me. There are threads detailing the work involved. Do some homework here and google you can do it.
