So I changed the relay and the problem persists. The large green connector next to it looked to be in good condition. No evidence of burned or melted anywhere. What else can I check? Is it likely the blower itself?
Hi everyone,
New to the site. Jumped in my Jeep today and turned on the heater fan and about number 2 setting and above it started to vibrate and got worse as the setting got higher. Any ideas as to what it is?
Thanks,
larrys

but im willing to bet a mouse got in through the fresh air vent and had one hell of a ride till he died. pull the blower motor out and inspect.
if no mouse replace due to crap bearings.

This acted up again today. Dead fan.
I jostled the relay trying to remove it, and at some point the fan started working again.
The inside of the relay was very hot.

This came back, so I am bumping this for winter!
Wen the relay is "loose", opening and slamming shut the glove box door triggers it.
However, that stopped working
I removed the relay, sprayed Deoxit into the plug.
Put the relay back in, and nothing.
Maybe too wet from Deoxit?
I bench tested the relay and it worked (anyone want to learn that, PM me)

Back in action!

Updating for the record.
Last 3 months, I've been having to tap and press the relay to get heater working.
Yesterday, that no longer worked. Relay and wires were super hot.
I swapped out the relay, and back in action!
To keep a spare, I'll go find another $5 used relay 56006709 on Ebay.
