heat issues 2000 Jeep cherokee

Default heat issues 2000 Jeep cherokee

Help...I have a 2000 jeep cherokee and was chilly this am at my house...put the heat on medium then on the blower ***** i tried all but only got heat when i lower ***** for blower...It was VERY warm air if i put on high it really was not hot..Help!!!!

check the heater control valve. that is what controls the heater part of your system.

If the **** points to 1 or 2 and in the redfor heat and on the right hand side of middle **** over to the white and blowing out top it is very hot so i assume leave it on those when heat is needed???

The valve under the hood that allows coolant to flow to the heater core???? Don't think '00 models have that, '98s don't.

if you have a vaccume leak then the heater goes to the default position and works in defrost mode only. Sounds like vac leake to me.
