I have a 1995 cherokee, when i move the lever to change the vents it doesn't change them it stays on defroster. Any ideas on what it could be?

It could be your vacuum switch on the back side of the climate controler. I would say a vacuum line but the actuator for the defroster and vents are seperate and operate independant of each other, make sure you have vacuum the climate controller.

I have a 96 and had the same problem. There is a vac line that runs behind the battery and rubs on it . It put a hole in mine. I put electrical tape on it til I could get a new line and worked great. My cruise control didnt work at same time but does now. Check your cruise and see if it works. If it dont then its proly the same thing.
