Default Healthy undercarriage?

Howdy yall, i may be buying my first 99 cherokee after being interested for a long time. I want one thatll last a while, and found this with 103,000. Anyone know if this looks like a solid buy?

Hard to tell with your two photos. They are a bit blurry and not zoomed it. Is it rust you are worried about or if it looks to be stock and not messed with too much? It does look very untouched from the pics. Is that a splash shield under there? I didn’t know XJ’s had a splash shield!!!

So yes, that's a factory splash shield. For the two pics I can only says those alone don't disqualify it..

Take a small hammer or your knuckle and knock on the rockers, quarter panels, looking for signs of rust/Bondo.. Check the engine/trans mounts. shock mounts, control arm attachment points, rear spring and shock attachments for severe rusting.
