Default Headlights misaligned.. stripped housing for headlights

I recently bought a 2000 Cherokee Sport with 125k miles and my headlights were a little yellow and one had moisture in the light so I went to Walmart and got two cheap lights for $8 a piece. The passenger side I replaced and stripped the screws a little bit but I got it back in place. That night was very cold and I stripped the screws on the driver side that hold the bracket to the headlight in place so I decided to take the black housing out that holds everything together. That was a bad idea. I ended up stripping the housing screws too. Now I have two crappy replacement lights that are very dim and the drivers side is way out of whack. I can't even really see without having my fog lights on. I have no idea how to fix my problem. I thought about maybe going to the junk yard and pulling the whole part that hides behind the grill that supports/holds the headlights. Any ideas?
