I was driving and i turned on my headlights and my gauges and tail-lights went out, ive checked all the fuses and relays and there all good, so i was thinking could it be the switch cause i cant think of anything else? also when i pull the switch out just a little the cluster and tail-lights will come on but if i move the switch they go out again.

 

Sounds like the switch is going, particuarly the mention of the dash lights blinking on/off as the **** is touched.

 

Same symptoms that I had on my '92.....definitely the switch worn....you'll see the worn disc contact when you take it out.

 

So all i need would be a switch right? and thanks

 

Should be, but I can't be 100%....This happened with mine. The wiring diagram shows that the power goes to the switch BEFORE the fuse box for the cluster lights.....I had to trace back to the switch for power/lack of power....Hope this helps!

 

similar problem on my 97. except all lights would stay on except the headlights. dash lights and running lights would stay on. i swapped out the light switch and all was good again.

 

It worked bought a new light switch for 16$ and its all good

 

I have the same problem, let me know if the new switch works.
