Hey all, first time poster here. I've used this site many times reading about other people's problems and I suppose that now it's my turn.
Last night both of the headlamps on my 01 Cherokee went dead at the same time. All other lights work: turn signal, reverse, brake lights, etc. I have replaced the headlight switch and nothing looked out of the ordinary with it. I also checked all the fuses having anything to do with lights and they were all fine. Because I wanted to upgrade my headlamps anyways I went ahead and swapped them out too. Finally, I traded the relays in the power dist. box with relays that I know work. Nothing changed at all. What is left?
Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions.
Upon further review, the headlamps work if I slowly toggle the high beam lever I can get the low beams to come on. I guess it's time to check out the lever.

A lot of us have had to replace the multifunction switch, I've had to put 2 in my 98.
It's not 2 bad of job. Going to need both short and long phiilps screwdrivers and torx.
I found that a 1/4 rachet with torx bits works best for the torx.

To prevent replacing the multi function switch, headlight switch, and fuses in the future - ESPECIALLY if you want to upgrade headlights - install an aftermarket headlight harness. The stock system is so poor its not at all uncommon to destroy switches before fuses blow. Even with stock bulbs harnesses can increase light output around 20%z There's a thread in the writeup section discussing upgrades.

KHester, awesome suggestion. I did the switch today and it fixed 3/4 of the problems with the lights. The only remaining issue is the left low beam completely out. It was working intermittently with the defective multifunction switch so I'm kind of stumped as to why it won't at all now.
salad, I'll look into that thread; thanks for the heads up.
Thanks to everyone for the help, it's nice to have at least 4/5 light options working again!
