headgasket issue
Thanks for you reply, I actually haven't taken the push rods out yet, but i will be sure to label them, I read that i am supposed to loosen the rockers before i install the push rods, is this true? Im assuming i need to remove the bridge between rockers? This is the only part confusing me. thanks again

right. unbolt the bridge, remove the rockers and pivot assemblies, pull out the push rods. Installation is the reverse of removal (drop in the rods, place the pivots, rockers, and bridges, and alternately tighten the capscrews to spec).
Well i have the head on, came well packed and it looks like a decent head. very clean. I cant seem how to figure out how to torque down the last bolt down by the firewall, i put an elbow attached to the socket but the elbow broke. so im not sure what to do on that one.

I think that hole is for the new and improved head that provides a way to easily bleed the cooling system isn't it? J/k Is it threaded? I would just plug it if it were mine. As long as I was sure it was just a water jacket and not a crack in the bottom of a blind hole.
Is it a different head you put on it? I think there used to be a sensor in that location and jeep changed it to one in the thermostat housing or something but I am not sure of that. I would plug it. It is probably pipe thread though so I dont think a standard bolt will fit. It is probably like 1/4" NPT or something like that.

Update
I keep blowing thermostat housing gaskets, I even put rtv on it. This is the second gasket I've gone through, also the top hose going into the housing and the housing itself are bone dry. Any ideas please? Thanks!
