What kind of headers do you guys think would be the best bang for your buck...Rugged ridge, Borla or Banks headers? I just put on a cat back exhaust and i need more sound and more power.

Borla is the very best header for the 4.0L IMO. The rest are par or sub-par in scavenging ability.

Here is what I put on mine.. and IMHO every bit as good as the borla and many other brands without the cost factor...It's stainless steel and bar no special coating, paint/powdercoat and not pretty as most commercial ones but I will say this it's quality IMHO is top notch and does exactly what a borla and many others do..

This is a direct OE replacement with a much better design and is the 3-2-1 pipe setup.

I stay away from APN b/c they have no Renix applications thus are useless to me. For you HO guys it may be a good product.

i bought a pacesetter header for my 90 cherokee. it came with the header, and piping up 2 the cat. it's been great for me. no cracks, of course the paint has flaked off. but it hasn't given me any problems at all. there aren't as many options for headers for the renix engines though

Must still be low mileage on those Pacesetters. They will have welds crack and the head plate will warp or even crack. Every set I have seen last about 20,000 miles and then need to be replaced. Those were the old ones and they may have changed and improved. I certainly hope so for your sake XJ90.
