That's a good thought.. I'd take it to a good exhaust shop and let them check it out before you pull it. Good shops will tell you for free if they can fix it 'on there' and how much.

I just patched the crack for now till I decide to order new headers. Also I installed a thrush glass pack in place of the ginormous muffler but now it whistles a little under higher rpms. IT IS COMING FROM THE GLASS PACK. No leaks anywhere else. Kinda sounds like I got a turbo ha ha. But it might get old after a while. Think autozone will exchange it even after I mounted it?

No. I didn't need to to reach the crack. I figured not to do all the work twice so when I order a header I'll obviously do it then.

Ok so I got it all done. Put it all back together and now there is a whistling noise. I checked all my vacuum lines, cvc valve etc and nothing from them. I torqued all the bolts to spec and the noise is still there. Tightened the throttle body and still there. No holes or cracks in intake or intake tube. What else can it be?

Ha ha. Yes I did but the whistle is coming from the front side. I even ran a hose from my ear to all over the engine and can't pin point it.
