I have a 1989 XJ Cherokee 5-Speed. i have some electrical issues, i do believe. i dont know how to describe these, but........

1. My tail lights work, but no brakes
2. my left turn signal works, but my right signal when i signal right stays solid, doesnt blink

3. My 4-way hazard lights dont work

4. my radio workd, but the cd player wont play discs, and spits them out.


please help me.

 

1 - check fuses and bulbs.
2 and 3 - change your flasher relay
4 Likely to be a radio/CD issue, not vehicle electrics

 

I'll try too:
1) brake lamp switch properly adjusted?
2) burned out signal bulb
3) defective switch on column
4) cds' suck, throw the whole thing away, for $75 you can buy a cheap head unit that has a USB port

 

Check the ground under your dash it is just about where your left knee would be while driving normal
