Default head light problem

I have replaced my factory head lights with new sylivan helogen lights and when i turn them on my drivers light shines up great but the passenger side light lights up but just barely it looks like a flash light with dead batteries in it.
Also when i turn my brights on it gets a little dimmer.
could this be a bad ground, and i also did not tough the bulb with my hands or any part on my skin.

sounds like the factory style with halogens.

you probably have a bad ground connector in the pigtail.

i would just splice in a new pigtail. grab one from a wreckers.
but don't just use black electrical tape. get some crimp on connectors for it. then wrap with shrink tube.

so you think its a bad ground from the main connector and not the ground from the body

yeah, that's what i think. but you should just get out a volt meter and check for sure.
if not, you'll have to trace the wires back till you find the bare wire grounding out on the body somewhere.

also, try another bulb.

Check inside the socket/connector for oxidation also.
