4.5" lift. can i put spacers and blocks?
I have a 99 cherokee. I'm just about ready to put the RC 4.5 lift on it. I was just wondering if anyone here has put 2 inch spacers in the front springs and 2 inch blocks in the rear.
Is this possible? Or any other size like one inch in the front and rear.
If it is possible, is there anything specific I should take into consideration?
Any input will be much appreciated.

you can do it, but you are better off getting a 6" kit then
you will need to buy the 4.5 and the spacers, plus longer shocks, likely brake hoses, preferably longarms or drop brackets, adjustable trackbar. of course you can be cheap and ignore all those items, but I wouldn't reccomend it.
and you will need an sye and cv shaft

If all you need is the lift and are not going to wheel it i would add blocks... its not that big of a strain on the leaves.. if it was then why would blocks come stock on every pickup truck? you will prob need longer u bolts as well as the items listed above by ktmracer419.... why go bigger though? there are guys running 35s on 4.5" of lift on these forums...

i would put your lift on first and see where you stand most likely you will be higher in the back then the front any way. what size tires you trying to clear 33's or 35's.

blocks are an extreme strain on springs, its a bad idea all around, i never suggest them, i would get the shackles instead

blocks havent come on every truck, but many. keep in mind these trucks don't have soft, thin xj leaf springs.
My leaf springs are forever "S" shaped from wheeling and i have never ran a block (4.5" rubicon express springs) they now sit at 1" for what its worth.

so what your saying is all these companies that make lifts with blocks are junk and just out to ruin your springs? that is pretty much the dumbest thing i have ever heard. yah they'll ruin your springs eventually...... and i would DEFINITELY do shackles way before i even thought of blocks.... but if you just want a cheap lift that people are going to look at.. go for it... expect to a lot more wheel hop.... and with a bigger tire and stock axles... not going to be good!!!
