I had a blown head gasket in my 98

I replaced everything before doing a compression test finding they all were at 150 but 3&4 were at 50. I would suggest a compression test even after going to the garge. The low oil psi I heard was a jeep thing. Even after I replaced the gasket and head I had low oil psi. I replaced the oil psi switch and it worked for awhile but now my oil psi drops most of the time when I'm not giving it gas. Put I haven't lost any power at all

Clean everywhere the headgasket sits. If that's a cast iron block (and not aluminum) you should be fine with a wire wheel on an angle grinder although i DO NOT recommend that approach.

I personally use a Scotch-brite pad. They even make them in discs that you can put on an angle grinder unless you like using your elbow grease. I spray brakekleen onto the block and then use the pad to clean it up and repeat.
