Default head gasket or motor swap

Looking for opinion on the subject. I have a 93 cherokee with 304000 on the original motor. It has blow by and the head gasket just took a crap. What does everyone think i should do. Im looking at around 300 for checking the head out and parts and around 450/500 for a used motor from a yard.

With all the work that has gone into i want to keep it. Its got 5.5 inch of lift i just replace the entire rear floor pan along with some sections of the front. I want to one day take it to rausch creek and play on the rocks with it. I know with that many mile things are goingto break so thats y im looking for opinions. Is it worth redoing the head or just pit another motor in it.

If you plan to keep it, how about a full rebuild? The motor has over 300k on it!

Well the head gasket isn't that hard to do and can be done in a day. I'd change that and see how you feel about it afterwards. Aside from your time and labor it won't cost you much to try that first.
