Default having trouble with my tom woods driveshaft

So I go out and change the rear drivesshaft u joint, it was hard to get the drive shaft out of the rear end yoke because the driveshaft splines wouldn't slip. Well the grease fitting got ripped off some time ago and I didn't know it, so now I can't get the damn thing apart, any advice from you guys would be great. I can't afford another driveshaft right now!

Sorry I can't put pics up yet, wish I could, basically the grease fitting got ripped off and got filled up with moisture, now the splines won't slip because they are froze together, I've only had this shaft for about 1.5 years so you would think I could gt it apart.

Put it in a vise and tap it with a hammer while pulling on the end. I had this happen to my rear shaft and it was a pita to get apart, I finally got it apart by putting a long extension through the u-joint yolk standing on it and pulling on the upper part.

does the slider have threads on tit where the two pcs go together the cap unscrews if not the cap on slider pops off you should be able to spray pb in the spline when the cap is removed and slid up shaft dont be afraid to tap on both ears of the slide yoke to get it apart just dont use a 20 pound sledge

Why do you need to remove the slip yoke? Just yank the entire shaft.

If you really have to remove it make sure you mark both pieces of the shaft or you're going to have more problems when you reinstall it.

Extend the slip yoke and keep adding grease until the new grease starts coming out the hole under the u-joint.

So I finally got my driveshaft apart, it took a weeks worth of penetrant and a press device I had a millwright make for me, and alot of hammering. The teflon coating was raised up off the splines, thats why I couldn't get it off, you figure that you pay good money for a custom driveshaft to last longer than 2 years! So now I have to pay more money to get it rebuilt.
